BetterMynd: Online Therapy

BetterMynd

MCC Student Counseling Center has partnered with BetterMynd, an online therapy platform that offers students access to free and confidential teletherapy sessions from a diverse network of licensed mental health counselors.

These live video sessions are confidential and can take place from the convenience of your laptop, smartphone, or tablet. Teletherapy sessions are available during the day, at night, and on weekends, so you can get support whenever it's best for you.

Scheduled Counseling: MCC students are assigned up to 8 counseling sessions per semester with a licensed mental health provider. Choose the day, time, and mental health provider that works best for you. All service fees are covered through the partnership with MCC.

How to connect to BetterMynd Telehealth Counseling Services

  1. Reach out to the MCC Student Counseling to schedule a triage appointment. During this meeting, a therapist will explain the Counseling Center's policies and procedures, gather information about your concerns, and recommend an appropriate level of care based on the severity of your needs and any safety considerations.

  2. If you are recommended to continue counseling services through the BetterMynd telehealth platform, you will then receive an email with further instructions on how to connect with BetterMynd services.
