I am a big advocate of people.  I really enjoy connecting with people and learning about their strengths, dreams, struggles, and victories.  I relish being a partner, cheerleader, encourager, and fierce advocator for those who may not have a voice, have lost their way, or are just stuck for the moment.  I find it a high honor to be included in a part of someone’s journey.  I also really enjoy reading and researching.  I have a fascination and acute interest in brain science. I really like understanding how the brain works and the science of discovery.    Being outdoors and enjoying the sunshine and sounds of nature is part of self-care for me.  I particularly like to walk through downtown Waco or in the countryside near my home in Gatesville.  Road trips with stops along the way and in route to a National Park is an ideal vacation for my family and me.  As a Baylor graduate, green and gold is a favorite color combination and when I am eating M&Ms, the last two candy colors consumed are green and gold—saving the best for last!   During the fall football season, you can find me at McLane stadium cheering the Bears on to victory!  Sic ‘em!   Family is my inspiration.  One of my most favorite things to do is to leave a person or situation better than how I find it.  Positively impacting the world is the focus!
